Horror movie aficionados, we are going to need you on this one. I’m a grown man and it just so happens that I am a grown who has patrolled the streets of Iraq and seen a thing or two. But nothing, and I mean nothing, terrifies me like evil children. Should I ever find myself driving on a dark country road only to find a small child in the middle of the street pointing at me I’m probably hitting the gas rather than finding out what is going on with the kid. And whe READ MORE
Clearly, Superman ranks near the top of the Super Hero echelon as he possesses both. But what if you had to choose? One of the more fascinating aspects of any comic book universe is the exploration of the various superpowers one might possess. Typically, they can range from anything helpful like super speed to the remarkably less than helpful like whatever Jubilee did in the 90’s X-men cartoon that I grew up on.

There were few athletes in the sport of MMA who operated with as much brash and swagger as former champ Ronda Rousey. Okay, actually lots of fighters do as much but perhaps that just goes with the territory for those who step into the octagon. But when Ronda Rousey took a brutal surprise loss, she admitted on T.V. that for a moment she actually pondered suicide. Taking that kick to the face was without a doubt the most humbling experience of this once brash fighter’s life READ MORE
Typically, I’d withhold my opinion on a debate so as to allow the brilliant audience to Hash It Out and come to a conclusion yourself. But I’m not here to have the typical who would win debate because Deadpool is anything but typical. Rather, I’m here to have you Hash It Out as to why Deadpool makes a better superhero for reasons that don’t pertain to his fighting and rescue ability. Clearly, if you are in a tough spot for a mere mortal non-mutant being, either READ MORE
Football is without a doubt the ultimate team sport and the world was just able to witness its greatest spectacle. The Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers in convincing fashion and yet all and we seem to be able to talk about is Peyton Manning versus Cam Newton. Now, I’m not so ignorant as to ignore the racial undertones of this conversation that have been picked up on by the media but I just think them to be less than helpful for the current conversation. So movi READ MORE
With the New Hampshire Primary wrapping up, I keep hearing the media use the words “brawl” and “slugfest” to describe the political battles in progress. So this got me to thinking, what if it really were a brawl, say good old fashioned bar fight. Who would win? Now, the current field of primary candidates are fairly unremarkable in that light as Sanders would like best Clinton in a fist fight and Chris Christie would just sit on the rest of the GOP field. But le READ MORE
Ok, before we get started, let us go ahead and set some ground rules. Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and yes, women have a virtue and beauty all to themselves regardless of aesthetic appearance. That being said, they are not exactly screaming for Honey Boo Boo’s mom to walk the runway at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show. So yes, there is a point at which the American public has a right to ask whether a self-made public figure is indeed hot or not. If we w READ MORE
Don’t get me wrong, the movie actually looks pretty awesome. Anytime you can get Batman, Superman, and apparently even Wonder Woman into the same movie is all right with me. Now, I’m a big fan of the superhero movies but I must confess that I’m not a comic book aficionado. I read them as a kid growing up but didn’t really follow the storylines beyond a single issue or two. But recognizing the limits of my comic book expertise doesn’t stop me from thinking READ MORE
